| Russell’s
career journey has provided him with a range of synergistic
publishing and marketing skills. Following five years as
an editor with Macmillan Publishers, he joined a London-based
marketing and PR consultancy. Here, he extended his copywriting
and technical writing skills, in addition to creating and
driving corporate PR strategies for a wide range of international
clients. His role with BANG enables him to combine all his
skills acquired to date, as project manager and in-house
copywriter.
“Whilst an essential part of project management is
to consistently ensure that all my client projects are to
schedule, to budget and exceed expectations, the real challenge
is to get under the skin of a client, absorbing their values,
identity and true personality, to strategically inform all
aspects the client’s communications.”
Russell has managed many projects, including those on behalf
of the Department of Health, COI Communications, NHS Direct,
Centrex (formerly National Police Training), The Environment
Agency, Trade Partners UK, and the Home Office.
Outside of Bang, Russell has (fortunately) very few interests.
He’s immune to sport, finds eating tedious, doesn’t
drive or know anything about cars and hates shopping. Consequently,
he has very few friends, with whom he goes to diverse, some
would say unlistenable, live music events. When not listening
to music, Russell is working or sleeping.
