Department of Health

Engage Platform

Brief

The Department of Health had an inflexible and slightly cumbersome website, that made it difficult, time consuming and unpredictable to use and update. The campaign nature led to tight turnarounds and often multiple teams would be working in collaboration to get the content into the public domain, this required a more streamline system which was accessible for all users.
What we did
  • Concept and development
  • Information architecture
  • Wireframing
  • Responsive design
  • Testing
  • Training

The solution

After a series of meetings with the Department of Health, we were able to gain an in-depth understanding of their existing process for creating sites and therefore able to make informed decisions on how this could be improved upon.

We developed a series of wireframes, templates and on-page components, from hero images, promotional elements, forms and content modules. Each element was considered and styled to the guidelines, and could be moved effortlessly with a drag and drop builder, leaving the teams time to concentrate on the content.

An online guide was also produced and gave the changing user-base the tools and confidence to create exceptional sites every time.

The outcome

We implemented the design with a front end web site editor, which allows modules to be inserted, repositioned and edited when looking at the live page, rather than having to make changes via the Admin.

A system which is user friendly and intuitive for content editors. Existing and new team members can create sites within minutes, following a step by step process.

We ran a training workshop to provide an understanding of the Divi platform and functions to allow users to undertake the tasks required of them. This involved computer based and facilitated training.
